“Alberto Fischermann, the director of Players vs. Fallen Angels [screening on June 7 and 16], invites a group of no-longer-young literary groupies to share their memories of the great Polish author Witold Gombrowicz, who during his 20-year career in Argentina changed their lives and their understanding of literature. What results is a cross between a spiritualist seance and a sardonic, disquieting descent into the half-shadow of frustrated lives” (Edgardo Cozarinsky).
