“Julia Solomonoff handles with exquisite delicacy a fragile genre story about a girl who is raised as a boy in a country estate and taught the work of men until the onset of puberty causes her to question her identity. A coming-of-age tale that might have been more somberly treated by other filmmakers is, in the writer-director’s hands, refreshingly sunny and vibrant, with a great feeling for nature” (Edgardo Cozarinsky).
