In conjunction with the New York premiere of Jai Bhim Comrade (2011), Anand Patwardhan's award-winning documentary about caste discrimination and protest music in India, Patwardhan joins us to present clips from his other films, which explore themes of communal identity, Hindu nationalism, nuclear hubris, and subaltern resistance. The screening is followed by a conversation with Stuart Comer, Chief Curator, Media and Performance Art.
