Some time late in WWII soldiers Sam and Britt are spending time in the south of France, where they meet Monique, who was raised in France by American parents. Monique melts Sam’s by-the-book heart—until he finds out her family’s secret. When Sam takes off for the front to think things over, in swoops the younger, more easygoing Britt. Sam’s intentions are honorable, Britt’s aren’t, and the two inevitably square off.
