Inspired by MoMA's fifth annual Art + Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-thon—an all-day communal updating of Wikipedia entries on subjects related to gender, art, and feminism—this gallery session will focus on works by Louise Bourgeois, Alma Thomas, Elizabeth Murray, Lee Bontecou, and other women artists. What challenges were they up against, and what techniques did they use to communicate their unique positions?
This session is led by Kerry Downey.
