Stylistic and structural experiment abounds in this early example of Mexican Gothic, a horror film set in a monastery where two brothers, caught up in an exorcism, relate conflicting versions of the erotic scandal in their past. Restored by The Film Foundation's World Cinema Project at L'Immagine Ritrovata laboratory in collaboration with Filmoteca de la UNAM and Cinémathèque française. Restoration funded by the Material World Charitable Foundation.
