In advance of the Pearl Harbor attack on December 7, 1941, American military forces were unaware that they were getting in the way of Japan’s plan to destroy the Hawaiian base. Tora! Tora! Tora! recounts the details leading up to that tragic moment in American history. As US-Japanese relations strain over an American embargo on raw materials, plans are hatched for a preemptive strike. Although American intelligence agencies intercept Japanese communications, they are unwilling to believe such a strike could ever occur on US soil.
