During World War II, four Nazi saboteurs determined to destroy the American way of life land on Long Island, but are quickly seduced by wine, women, and the consumer culture of New York City. Influenced by the films of Rainer Werner Fassbinder, this comic drama features a lead performance by David McDermott, legendary figurehead of the No Wave cinema scene in New York, along with an all-star cast of downtown artists including Klaus Nomi, Patti Astor, Kristian Hoffman, Tina L’Hotsky, Eric Mitchell, and Lance Loud. An ambitious landmark of feature-length Super8 filmmaking returns to the screen after 30 years with this restoration premiere. Preserved by The Museum of Modern Art, New York.
