Curator and writer Miriam Katz presents a showcase of comedians, hosted by Eugene Mirman and featuring Chelsea Peretti, Jerrod Carmichael, and Morgan Murphy, each performing their own distinct style of stand-up. The event launches Katz’s podcast, “Breakdown,” which features in-depth interviews with both visual artists and comedians, as part of her ongoing endeavor to connect the worlds of comedy and art. The Art of Stand-Up is a New York Comedy Festival program.
Public Art Fund curator Andria Hickey hosts a panel discussion with artists Valérie Blass, Katinka Bock, Esther Kläs, and Allyson Vieira

In conjunction with the opening of Public Art Fund’s new group exhibition, Configurations, Valérie Blass, Katinka Bock, Esther Kläs, and Allyson Vieira will discuss the relationship between material, form, and subject in their work. Moderated by Public Art Fund Associate Curator, Andria Hickey, the conversation will focus on translating each artist’s sculptural practice into the public realm. Artbook @ MoMA PS1 | Magazine Store invites you to an afternoon celebrating the launch of HEJ: a print-curatorial project. HEJ is proud to release its first issue, a publication featuring interdisciplinary work by an international group of 25 artists, writers, and curators. Rigorously curated yet accessible in form and content, HEJ is a tangible space for creative and critical production—in a variety of genres—to overlap, interact, and create meaningful discourse. HEJ balances theoretical and aesthetic concerns, while considering, in print format, the rapid changes in artistic dialogue within the context of the Internet. In celebration of its first issue, contributors to and friends of HEJ will present visual, written, and performative works, continuing conversations started within the issue.
HEJ no. 1 is curated by Charlie Tatum and Dana Kopel and designed by Alex Tatusian for BF Bifocals. Copies will be available for purchase at the event.
Sunday Sessions is a weekly presentation of performance, moving images, dance, music, and discursive programs. Its mission is to embrace live arts as an integral aspect of contemporary practice and ask how art forms, which unfold in the here and now, produce specific ways of thinking and useful means to engage with the broader world. Every Sunday different artists, curators, thinkers and a range of other cultural agents are invited to share their latest projects and ideas with the MoMA PS1 audience.
