With Cary Grant, Marlene Dietrich, Herbert Marshall, Dickie Moore. American chemist Ned Faraday is poisoned with radium, and must go to Germany, of all places, to find a cure. His wife Helen goes too, but when she needs to raise funds for Ned’s treatments, she goes back to her pre-married life as a dance hall singer. When her cabaret earnings fall short, she prostitutes herself to a millionaire.

This film accompanies Modern Matinees: Mr. Cary Grant.
