After the galleries have closed to the public, take an exclusive tour of Francis Picabia: Our Heads Are Round so Our Thoughts Can Change Direction, the artist’s first major retrospective in the US in nearly 50 years. Though he is not as well-known as many of his contemporaries, Picabia's influential career ranged from Impressionism to Dadaism to Pop art and almost everything in between. As we trace Picabia’s progression through the early 20th century, we will try to understand the mercurial artist’s continual evolution and questioning of the purpose of art itself.
A limited number of tickets ($75; $65 MoMA members and employees of Corporate Members) are available online. The tour is an hour long. For more information, please contact [email protected] or (212) 708-9685.
