The Uneasy Three. 1925. USA. Directed by Leo McCarey

With Charley Chase, Katherine Grant, Noah Young. As a neophyte at the Roach Studios McCarey was teamed with veteran comic actor Charley Chase (aka Charles Parrott). As director and star the pair created a remarkable range of sophisticated comedies, ranging in tone from wild farce to naturalistic character interaction. Getting rid of Sennett-style grotesquerie, McCarey capitalized on Chase’s good looks to give a realistic look at an average Joe trapped in awful series of events.
