Screenplay by Paul Bern, based on the play by Lothar Goldschmidt. With Florence Vidor, Monte Blue, Adolph Menjou. A newlymarried man loves his wife, but finds himself lured into the web of her best friend, Mizzi. When Mizzi’s husband finds out what is happening, he views this indiscretion as an opportunity to get out of his marriage. The Marriage Circle was one of Iris Barry’s favorite films. Preserved with support from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Film Foundation.
