German artist Katharina Fritsch creates provocative sculptures that confront the viewer with lush, colorful surfaces and play with various sacred and secular themes from throughout art history. Explore the relationship between an original work of art and a copy, and compare Fritsch’s human-scale sculpture in MoMA’s collection with examples of her smaller sculptural multiples. This session includes a hands-on experience with one of the artist’s sculpted objects.
