The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is the world’s foremost repository of movie trailers. Cassie Blake, an Academy film archivist, presents a one-of-a-kind trailer show curated from their vast Technicolor holdings. Focusing on American films from the 1930s-50s—and featuring westerns, melodramas, and every genre in between—the Technicolor Trailer Show will showcase a mix of well-loved classics and little known rarities. Join us for a unique opportunity to experience vintage 35mm film gems, many of which have not been seen on the big screen in decades. Prints courtesy of the Academy Film Archive, with special thanks to the Packard Humanities Institute. Program 60 min.
