Make art. Meet people. Eat snacks. Explore ideas. Be yourself.
MoMA Teens Open Art Space is pleased to announce monthly teen film screenings on Thursday evenings! Join us on Thursday, November 19 from 4:00 to 7:30 p.m. for a special screening of Hit the Road (2021).
In this Iranian road movie, a family travels across the countryside on a mysterious journey. As they make their way toward an unknown destination, everyday conversations and unexpected moments reveal the complicated relationships between them. Directed by Panah Panahi, Hit the Road follows a family navigating questions of freedom and separation while trying to make the most of their time together.
Doors open at 4:00 p.m. for snacks and hanging out before the film begins promptly at 4:30 p.m. After the screening, stick around for food, music, and a creative activity inspired by the film.
Open Art Space meets on Thursdays at MoMA’s Lewis B. and Dorothy Cullman Education and Research Building, located at 4 West 54th Street, near Fifth Avenue.
This program is free and open to all high school–age participants. No previous art-making experience is necessary. Snacks, OMNY cards, and supplies will be provided.
