Make art. Meet people. Eat snacks. Explore ideas. Be yourself.

Join us on Thursday, October 8 to kick off a new season of Open Art Space—a free weekly after-school program dedicated to creating a safe space for LGBTQ+ high school students and their allies to create, explore, and connect with other creative teens.

Design a zine, pull a screenprint, make friendship bracelets, create with slime, experiment with temporary tattoos and makeup, walk away with a custom tote bag, and capture the night in our photo booth. With music, free food, and space to create, this is your chance to discover what Open Art Space is all about.

Open Art Space meets on Thursdays from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at MoMA's Lewis B. and Dorothy Cullman Education and Research Building, located at 4 West 54th Street, near Fifth Avenue.

RSVP encouraged. Walk-ins welcome. This program is free and open to all high school–age participants. No previous art-making experience is necessary. Snacks, OMNY cards, and supplies will be provided.

The Lewis B. and Dorothy Cullman Education and Research Building entrance has a power-assist door.

Seating options include chairs with backs. Gallery stools, wheelchairs, and rollators are available by request at all Museum entrances, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Guide dogs and other trained service animals are always welcome.
