The paths of three women (Sylvia Chang, Maggie Cheung, and Siqin Gaowa) from Taiwan, Hong Kong, and mainland China intersect in the urban solitude of New York City as they navigate personal, cultural, and romantic challenges while assimilating to achieve individual success. Full Moon in New York poignantly captures the emotional challenges faced by the diaspora and the shifting struggles of those seeking a new identity amid conflicting cultural realities.
