Howard Hawks’s fifth and final film with Cary Grant is a screwball comedy about an airheaded chemist whose miraculous youth elixir gets poured into the laboratory water cooler by one of his chimpanzees. Chaos, anarchy, and sexual innuendos ensue in one of Hawks’s funniest films, a hilarious disruption of work, married life, and manners, in which Marilyn Monroe, in one of her finest performances, plays a comical agent of destruction.
