Please join us for MoMA’s bimonthly program welcoming individuals who are Deaf or hard of hearing to participate in an ASL-interpreted, private gallery talk focusing on one of MoMA’s exhibitions, along with a wine and snack reception.
In January, we will engage with the exhibition New Photography 2025: Lines of Belonging with curator Oluremi C. Onabanjo. This exhibition brings together 13 artists and collectives who explore sites of belonging and forms of interconnectedness through the medium of photography. Some of the artists weave personal stories within broader political histories to explore intergenerational memory. Others reimagine the idea of the archive to disrupt narratives of the past and imagine future communities.
Interpreting MoMA is offered free of charge. Space is limited and advance registration is required. Registration opens on December 16, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
For more information or to register, please email [email protected] or call Access Programs at (212) 408-6447.
Image description: A gallery installation featuring two platform-like steel cube sculptures against a dimly lit white wall. Black-and-white photo cutouts of a male figure standing in front of a collaged landscape on the left and a seated female figure reading in a domestic setting on the right are displayed on the structures. A bright light points towards the sculptures, casting shadows on the wall.
