Join Zainab Aliyu for this two-hour workshop, in which we’ll engage in a creative exploration of “holding” as a form of memory, care, and imagination.
Inspired by the exhibition Designer’s Choice: Norman Teague—Jam Sessions and Aliyu’s artwork From red dust to Black clay, participants will imagine and design symbolic vessels. We’ll reflect on personal and collective stories with guided prompts, explore the role of AI in artistic processes, and record your ideas by assembling a zine.
Zainab Aliyu is an artist, designer, and cultural worker who crafts counternarratives through sculptures, videos, installations, virtual environments, publications, archives, and social practice.
