Introduction
Lueg co-founded the Capitalist Realist movement (Düsseldorf ca. 1963) with Sigmar Polke and Gerhard Richter, and took his mother’s maiden name, Lueg, as an artist. He ceased creating art in 1968 and became a successful contemporary art dealer, under his birth name, Konrad Fischer. After his death in 1996, the Konrad Fischer Gallery in Düsseldorf was run by his wife, Dorothee.
