Introduction
Althamer studied under Grzegorz Kowalski at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw until 1993. His work often incorporates the use of his own body, his family members, or interactions with marginalized social groups. He has collaborated with Artur Żmijewski on several artistic projects.
