Introduction
Bruce Davidson (born September 5, 1933) is an American photographer. He has been a member of the Magnum Photos agency since 1958. His photographs, notably those taken in Harlem, New York City, have been widely exhibited and published. He is known for photographing communities usually hostile to outsiders.

Introduction
Born 5 September 1933. Davidson studied photography at Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, New York, from 1951 to 1954. Davidson has worked as a freelance photographer in New York City, New York since 1958. In this year, he also joined MAGNUM Photos. From 1966 to 1968, Davidson photographed one city block, East 100th Street, in New York City, New York. From 1980 to 1982 Davidson produced a collection of colour images of the New York City, New York Subway.
