VIDEO: The Teenager’s Guide to the Galleries! (Part 2)

A Cross-Museum Collective teen on the set of The Teenager’s Guide to the Galleries!

“Ewww, why is this so special that it needs to be in a museum?” “Like, dude, seriously, my kid could do this.” FREEZE!

In Part 2 of The Teenager’s Guide to the Galleries! the Cross-Museum Collective explores the theme of understanding and interpreting art, and shares some of their responses to how they think teens and young adults often react when introduced to the more challenging work in our galleries. Filmed on location at MoMA PS1, the video was created by the teens (and written by them, acted by them, etc.) as the final project of our 2012 Cross-Museum Collective season.

For more info on the Collective, check out our posts here and here. For Part 1 of the Teenager’s Guide to the Galleries! click here.

Special thanks to Chris Lew, Matthew Evans, Max Brand, Plowshares Media, and (of course) the incredible Cross-Museum Collective.
