This weekend at MoMA PS1, Warm Up is excited to feature some of the best in modern house, techno, and experimental music. Our headliner is the prolific British producer, DJ, and label head Maya Jane Coles. Since 2008, Coles has firmly established herself as a leading figure in electronic music—expect a truly mesmerizing set from one of the most influential names in house and techno.
We are also excited to present an array of talented opening acts, including rising Detroit DJ and producer Jay Daniel, New Jersey’s resident house experimentalist Joey Anderson, nostalgic grooves from Los Angeles producer Palmbomen II, and an analog live performance from Brooklyn’s Ohal.
In order of appearance this Saturday July 23:
Ohal / Styles Upon Styles / Brooklyn, NY
Palmbomen II / NON Records + Beats in Space Records + 1080p /
Los Angeles, CA
Joey Anderson / Inimeg + Dekmantel / Jersey City, NJ
Jay Daniel / Wild Oats + Watusi High / Detroit, MI
Maya Jane Coles / I/AM/ME / London, UK
Doors open at noon, with performances running from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Be sure to browse the full summer schedule and buy tickets here before they sell out!
In case you missed last week’s show, crowds danced through the heat to an infectious set by Portuguese kuduro pioneer Branko. For the afternoon’s biggest surprise, Oakland rapper Kamaiyah brought out the superstar Compton MC, YG, for a joint performance. They were preceded by electrifying sets from “tropical punk” diva Maluca Mala, Chilean DJ IMAABS, and rising dystopian dancehall producer Endgame.
