• For tonight’s Modern Mondays event, Tehran-born, Brooklyn-based artist Raha Raissnia will discuss her work and present one of her recent expanded cinema pieces—with live sound by collaborator Panagiotis Mavridis’s handmade instruments.

• On Wednesday and Friday afternoons, take part in an open drawing session focused on Maria Hassabi’s PLASTIC, a live installation in which dancers move between poses at a barely perceptible pace across the Museum’s floors and staircases. Drawing materials are provided.

• NYC teens can join a free, drop-in art studio on Friday as part of the exhibition Ocean of Images: New Photography 2015. Led by Lele Saveri and other artists behind The Newsstand and 8-Ball communities, participants explore the creative techniques behind making zines.

• If you can’t come to the Museum in person, join us via live stream on Friday evening for a conversation about of inequity and access in U.S. culture today, featuring Ford Foundation President Darren Walker and acclaimed poet and college administrator Crystal Williams, and moderated by cultural critic Vinson Cunningham.
