Here’s what’s going on this week:
• Tonight, join New York–based filmmaker Akosua Adoma Owusu for a Modern Mondays evening, during which she’ll discuss the making of Black Sunshine, her first feature-length fiction film.

• On Tuesday take a Gallery Sessions tour of the exhibition Joaquín Torres-García: The Arcadian Modern, and explore how how he created his signature style and sought to unify a Latin American artistic identity.
• A weeklong run of Italian filmmaker Simone Rapisarda Casanova’s documentary-fiction hybrid The Creation of Meaning begins on Thursday, with an opening-night introduction by the filmmaker.
