Matisse’s studio is red, van Gogh’s sky is blue, if you love modern art, then this week is for you:

• Tonight join us for a Modern Mondays evening with Women’s Film Preservation Fund cofounder Barbara Moss, held in conjunction with a Carte Blanche film program celebrating the WFPF’s 20th anniversary. Following a screening of A Crime to Fit the Punishment, which Moss codirected with Stephan Mack, she will join curator Anne Mora in a discussion of the unique characteristics of the WFPF, and her own work as a filmmaker.

Henri Matisse: The Cut-Outs closes on Tuesday. Don’t miss your last chance to see this acclaimed exhibition of Matisse’s innovative and uplifting cut-outs.

• Also on Tuesday, drop by the Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec exhibition for a free, informal drawing session in the galleries or with a live model, from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m.

• On Friday, MoMA’s annual festival of recent documentary film, Documentary Fortnight, kicks off with the New York premiere of MacArthur “Genius” Fellow and Emmy Award winner Stanley Nelson’s The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution. The screening will be followed by a discussion with Nelson and participants in the film.

• Share a special visit to MoMA with a Valentine Tour on Saturday or Sunday, featuring an after-hours reception and private group tour focusing on romantic works in MoMA’s collection. Space is limited, so get your tickets today.

• The latest exhibition of cutting-edge design, This Is for Everyone: Design Experiments for the Common Good, opens on Saturday, featuring a 3-D printed dress, the first icon designs for the Apple computer, cells on microchips that replicate human organs, and so much more.

• For Sunday Sessions at MoMA PS1, musician and multimedia artist EMA (Erika Anderson) presents I Wanna Destroy,</a> a 3-D environment where visitor’s experiences are projected before the entire audience, featuring a live score that melds semi-acoustic instruments and lyrical content into a digital world.</p>
