If you’re looking for something to do—other than eat turkey!—here are some of the programming highlights at MoMA this holiday week:

• The Contenders 2014 continues tonight, Monday, November 24, with a screening of Gillian Robespierre’s Obvious Child, followed by a discussion with the director and the film’s producer, Elisabeth Holm. Check full schedule (and see below) for more great screening events in this series.

• On Tuesday, November 25 (and on Saturday, November 29), Discovering Georgian Cinema presents Ivan Perestiani’s Three Lives: Parts 1 & 2 (1924), a silent, improvised film adapted from Giorgi Tsereteli’s classic novel.

• The Museum is closed on Thursday, November 27, for Thanksgiving, but there’s still lots to explore online if you need a pre- or post-turkey art fix. Browse the selection of album covers uploaded to MoMA’s Tagboard using #MakingMusicModern (and add your own); get the free MoMA Art Lab app from the iTunes store and make some digital masterpieces; or get a jump on holiday shopping at MoMAstore.org.

• Join a Gallery Sessions tour, Vasily Kandinsky and the Listening Eye, on Friday, November 28. Participants explore Kandinsky’s Panels for Erwin Campbell series and listen to musical compositions that may have inspired the artist’s paintings.

• On Saturday, November 29, take an intimate after-hours tour of Henri Matisse: The Cut-Outs led by a MoMA educator. Hourlong tours start at 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. ($75 each, $65 for members).

• On Sunday, November 30, The Contenders 2014 features screenings of Boyhood (followed by a discussion with director Richard Linklater and actor Ethan Hawke), and Snowpiecer (followed by a discussion with actress Tilda Swinton).
