From Tijuana to New York: Raúl Cárdenas Osuna

New York City is the ultimate melting pot—from cuisine to culture, we have a little bit of everything here. What more could MoMA bring to this dynamic and exciting community? Artist, data expert, and all around amazing thinker Raúl Cárdenas Osuna of course! Osuna comes to MoMA from Tijuana, Mexico, where he heads up Torolab, a collective workshop and laboratory of contextual studies that identifies situations or phenomena of interest for research, with a focus on the realm of lifestyles and the idea of “quality of life.” As part of Artists Experiment, Osuna worked with us to organize an amazing dinner event, Capital Exchange, to launch this initiative in January. Currently he is collaborating with us to develop a series of gallery guides authored by notable and unexpected guests.

Why is Osuna interested in working with MoMA? Find out why our history is so fascinating to him!
