Lamelas is renowned for work in a broad variety of mediums that considers the limits of time and space, and how information and technology impact communication. Time is a performance in which a group of people stand on a line, indicated by tape on the floor. The first person in line announces the time to the adjacent participant, who waits sixty seconds before sharing the time with the participant next to them. The process continues until the end of the line. The final participant announces the time at the end of the performance in a language of their choosing. Time is an artwork that emphasizes ideas and instructions; other than the taped line, it includes no objects.
