Analysis & Previous Treatments

Scientific analysis and a review of Les Demoiselles d'Avignon's treatment history from the time it left Picasso's studio to the present can reveal crucial information about the materials of the painting, how they were applied, and their aging characteristics. It also reveals information about the previous restorations and restoration materials, and thus will be useful in developing appropriate procedures for the current treatment.
