Ingrid Fetell is a Senior Design Lead at IDEO and founder of the blog Aesthetics of Joy. Her work draws on insights from neuroscience and psychology to offer a unique perspective on the connection between our environment and our well-being. Drawing on her day-to-day design practice and five years of original research, she shows how people can create happier and healthier lives through design.
Ingrid's writing has been featured in a range of publications, including Core 77, Psychology Today, Brandchannel, and Libertine, and her design work has been exhibited at imm Cologne, Germany. She is a founding faculty member in the Products of Design program at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She also speaks regularly on emotion and design.
Ingrid holds a Master’s degree in industrial design from Pratt Institute and a Bachelor’s in English and creative writing from Princeton University. When not at work, she can be found reading science journals and traveling the globe in search of colorful people, vibrant places, and joyful things.
