Like the maps for Naming Tokyo, these postcards, commissioned by the 2009 Venice Biennale, were produced for broad dissemination. The artist juxtaposed stock images of a well-known or generic landscape with the name of the Italian city to create one hundred tourist postcards, which she had printed in a typical commercial run of ten thousand each. The postcards were displayed on the Biennale grounds as free souvenirs for collecting or mailing; two Italian postal system mailboxes were installed in the exhibition space for visitors to use.
