Featured Film: Two Cars, One Night
|
Taika Waititi
(Maori) Taika Waititi (Maori). Waititi's directorial debut, the short film Two Cars, One Night, was nominated for an Oscar in 2005. The director participated in the Sundance Writers Lab in January 2005 with "Choice," a feature film script loosely based on Two Cars, One Night. An award-winning actor, Waititi received a Best Actor nomination at the Nokia Film Awards in 2000 for his role in the Sarkies Brothers' film Scarfies. Waititi regularly does stand-up comedy in New Zealand and in 2004 launched a solo production, "Taika's Incredible Show." He is also an experienced painter and photographer.
