Introduction: Made in New York 102

Alex Fialho: Hi there, I’m Alex Fialho and I’m your host for Made in New York. Like many New Yorkers, I was born somewhere else, and the moment I came to New York, I fell in love with the city’s bright lights, amazing energy, beautiful people, and so much art. Whether it’s visiting a museum or walking past graffiti on the street, there are so many ways to be inspired here.

Here in the city, we walk fast, we talk fast, and we keep moving. Made in New York is kind of the same. We’ll visit three floors of the Museum and look at a handful of works on each floor. You’ll hear about different neighborhoods and moments in time.

This playlist shows the works by floor but if you want to look at other art along the way, go for it. Just tune back in when you’re ready for more New York stories.

Alright, let’s start up on the 5th floor. I’ll meet you at the silent movie that shows a very recognizable part of New York daily life.
