Curator, Anne Umland: So one of the things that is interesting to me about this picture is the way that at first you look at it, and you think, “Oh, it's a bright sunny landscape, green grass, pretty colors.” But then as you look closer, how many strange things can you find?

I, for instance, begin to notice that there, at the left, is a purple cauldron? Out of which is rising how many deer? Then continuing to look for things that are sort of creepy, can you see there in the very center? There are three little ghost-like figures.

For me, I think the most fun part of this picture is when you look down along the lower edge. How many different things do you see there? I see an upside-down bat, but I'm sure you will notice other things.
