MoMA is open every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Exhibition and collection galleries close approximately 15 minutes prior to Museum closing.

Members

Saturday and Sunday mornings from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., select galleries are open to members and their guests only. Tickets are not required for members and corporate members. Learn more about MoMA membership and Corporate Member policies.

First Fridays

Free admission for New York City residents on the first Friday of every month, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., is made possible by UNIQLO. (Free tickets must be reserved in advance.)

Know before you go

Entrance

Use the main entrance of the Rockefeller Building on 53rd Street, close to Sixth Avenue and just east of our flagship Museum Store.

Don't bring

Our checkroom is currently closed. Please note that recreational scooters, skateboards, rolling luggage, flower arrangements, balloons, and all items over 14 x 22 x 9” (36 x 59 x 23 cm) are not allowed inside the Museum. Large umbrellas must be left in our umbrella rack. We are not responsible for umbrellas left in the rack. Food and drinks are prohibited in the Museum’s galleries.

Bags and security

All bags will be inspected upon arrival. We reserve the right to refuse items. Please wear backpacks on the front of your chest or carry them with your hand to the side.

Accessibility

Wheelchairs are available for use free of charge at all Museum entrances on a first-come, first-served basis. Motorized wheelchairs and other personal mobility devices are welcome. Learn more about accessibility at MoMA.
