Louise Nevelson’s Chapel of the Good Shepherd is the only still-existing complete sculptural environment by the artist. It’s one of New York City’s hidden gems. Housed within Saint Peter’s Church, the work is undergoing comprehensive restoration. Visitors can peek into the space while HVAC work is underway (scheduled for completion by early September 2019) and learn about the art conservation process in an adjacent room.
