“I use photography to document situations I create: an adult girl sitting on her father’s knees, a hand reaching to cradle another person's head, an older lady building a playhouse in her living room, or a young girl setting up a defensive position in her domestic space. By triggering these slightly awkward but also very simple situations, I’m interested in addressing the relationships between the body, family, domestic space, performance, alienation, struggle, and society.”
