“Central to my work is a worldview in which the self is abstractly represented. In my image-based artwork I engage with transitional spaces—sites of commemoration, monuments, and graves—where the past materializes itself in the present. Although the body is often alluded to, its presence is depicted in a state of displacement, either by omission or fragmentation.”
