In 1969, Heineken gathered numerous Time magazines, disassembled them, imprinted pornographic images taken from Cavalcade on every page, and reassembled them with the original Time covers. He circulated these reconstituted magazines, clandestinely leaving them in the waiting room at his dentist’s office or slipping them onto newsstands to be sold unwittingly as authentic magazines.
