This slide show is comprised of more than two hundred images loaded into three slide projectors and projected in random order, so that every showing is unique. The images, photographed from the television screen, generally fit into broad categories such as newscasters, animals, TV evangelists, aerobics instruction, and explosions. Heinecken was always exploring new photographic technologies and believed that “it is the responsibility of artists/teachers to interpret for the culture and for their students the possible artistic uses of such devices. To accept only the most obvious or utilitarian function of an image-making device is to deny the real potential of artistic involvement at its deepest level."
