Acts by the Downtown Sissies (known for their housedress costumes) at Haoui Montaug’s No Entiendes Danceteria cabaret are paired with Jackie Curtiz’s last screen performance, in Doris and Inez Speak the Truth, as one of two transgender characters struggling to make their dreams of heterosexual normality come true. Beloved video artist Tom Rubnitz joins the program with titles created with John Sex, as well as an Art Against AIDS PSA hinting at the epidemic that would soon bring the fun to an end.
