In this photograph of Bonwit Teller’s storefront, Rauschenberg’s Combine Collection serves as the backdrop for women’s fashions. A proud label touts that the artist had once worked for the store. Bonwit Teller closed its doors in 1979; the art-deco skyscraper is currently Trump Tower.
