"My whole area of art has always been addressed to working with other people," Rauschenberg once reflected. "Ideas are not real estate." Rauschenberg’s six-decade career was shaped by his creative dialogues and collaborations with other artists, dancers, musicians, writers, and engineers. The following slide show includes a selection of works from Robert Rauschenberg: Among Friends that came about through this lifelong exchange of ideas.
