Pakastani-born, Poughkeepsie, NY–based artist Huma Bhabha creates semi-figurative sculptures that variously conjure ancient Greek, African, and Egyptian art. Using strategies developed by American assemblage artists, she composes works incorporating found or inexpensive materials, such as Styrofoam and newsprint.
