"yes to what I want, yes to what I need, yes to what I deserve, / yes to what is mine, yes I want to claim my fate and destiny" lower left to lower right comp., pencil, artist's hand.
The hand additions on this composition vary across the edition. For comparison, see other impressions in the Evolving Composition Diagram below.
In this edition, Bourgeois and the publisher designated each impression as a "study." However, throughout the catalogue, the term "study" describes photocopies and tracings that were used in the process of developing a composition.
Curatorial Remarks:
The paper type, and the location and medium of the impression number, are not documented because this work is not in MoMA's Collection and could not be examined in person. The sheet dimensions, medium of hand additions, and impression numbers were provided by the Louise Bourgeois Studio.
"Eyes" (2005) in Related Works in Other Mediums is a stencil drawing that looks very similar to this print. There are four "Eyes" stencil drawings with varying hand additions, not to be confused with this print.
