Edition Information:

This triptych with hand additions is one of two known compositions to use this plate. There is also single impression of this plate with hand additions. It is called "Rest (#4)" and can be seen in the Evolving Composition Diagram below. Despite the numbering in the title, it is the only known "Rest" composition.

Curatorial Remarks:

The paper type, hand additions, and plate dimensions of this impression could not be documented because this impression is not in MoMA's Collection and could not be examined in person. The medium and sheet dimensions were provided by the Louise Bourgeois Studio; plate dimensions were deduced from the sheet dimensions.
